Set against the agricultural policies of the 1970s and 80s, Fencerow to Fencerow features three interwoven stories. A fifth-generation corn farmer faces a crisis of conscience about industrialized corn production; a young food scientist attempts to provide a sustainable food system for an ever increasing population; and, an everyman named Joe suffers the consequences of a changing diet as his fresh food is replaced with industrialized products.
