Set against the agricultural policies of the 1970s and 80s, “Fencerow to Fencerow” features three interwoven stories. A fifth-generation corn farmer faces a crisis of consciene when he sees the environmental and nutritional damage that industrialized corn production has wreaked on America, while a young food scientist working against politically-driven agribusiness attempts to provide a sustainable food system for an ever increasing population. Through it all, an everyman named Joe suffers the consequences of a changing diet as his fresh food is replaced with industrialized products.
7 men / 3 women. Actors play multiple roles. For the set, a subfloor is suggested.

Earthlings

Earthlings explores sexual stereotypes and social classification. The story, which takes place on two days separated by 20 years, explores the ramifications of the stereotyping that, as a whole, society has accepted. The 20 year separation between Act I and Act II turns Earthlings into a memory play in the 2nd half showing the immense influence a single event, person and day can have in one's life. 3 men / 3 women.
